The oldest coffee in Honduras is Café Medalla, since 1923 offering its great taste to all Hondurans.
The story goes that this coffee was first marketed by a lady who had a small coffee plantation behind the church she looked after. She roasted the coffee in the sun for hours and then ground it on a stone. Neighbours would come by for the delicious smell and buy it. Part of this process is preserved and is the secret to the taste of Café Medalla.
